Appykod · Backend studio

.NET backend engineering
and SQL Server performance.

Slow reports, timeouts, a stored procedure nobody wants to touch, or a backend that needs a proper API layer. That’s what we fix.

Appykod is a small backend studio run by Ömer, a senior engineer with almost 10 years on C#/.NET services and large multi-schema SQL Server databases.

What we do

SQL Server performance

Find out why it is slow and fix it: query plans, indexes, waits, configuration. Fixed-price health checks and one-off slow query fixes, with before/after numbers.

.NET backend & APIs

New C#/.NET services and integrations, and moving business logic out of stored procedures into a clean, testable API layer.

Legacy modernization

Long T-SQL procedures and old .NET code made readable, testable and safe to change — without a rewrite.

Ongoing support

A monthly block of hours for teams that need a senior backend engineer on call, without hiring one.

Packages

SQL Server Health Check

One instance. Read-only data collection (DMVs, Query Store if enabled). The 10 most expensive queries, index and wait analysis, configuration and maintenance review. A written report ordered by impact and effort, plus a written Q&A round. Delivered in 7 days. No changes to your server unless you ask.

$490 fixed

Slow Query Fix

One query or stored procedure. Plan analysis, rewritten T-SQL or index change, before/after measurements. Delivered in 3 days.

from $190

Monthly Backend Support

A block of hours each month for performance work, backend fixes and code review. Async over email or Slack. Short written report at month end.

$420 / 10 h · $790 / 20 h

.NET Backend & Modernization

APIs, services, integrations, stored-procedure-to-API migration. Scoped in writing first; fixed price after scoping.

All prices in USD. Invoiced per engagement; card or bank transfer.

How we work

  1. 01

    You write, we read.

Tell us what feels slow or what needs building. A few sentences and your SQL Server / .NET versions are enough to start.

  2. 02

    Plan before change.

You get a short written plan: what we will look at, what we will touch, how we will roll back. Nothing reaches production without your written OK.

  3. 03

    Measure, don’t guess.

Every performance fix ships with before/after numbers.

  4. 04

    Async by default.

Email, Slack or your ticket tracker. We work in UTC+3 and reply within one business day; calls when they genuinely save time.

  5. 05

    Your code, your data.

Read-only access first. Work happens in your repository, under your name if you are an agency.

Who does the work

Ömer — lead engineer. Almost 10 years building and running C#/.NET backend systems on large, multi-schema SQL Server databases: APIs, complex stored procedures, data reconciliation between systems, and services that run 24/7. Today Ömer takes on a few focused engagements at a time under the Appykod name. When a project needs more hands, he brings in trusted freelancers and says so up front.

No team page, no stock photos. You talk to the person who does the work.

Selected work

Mühendis Akademi — .NET / SQL Server learning platform

ASP.NET Core 7 API and two MVC apps on SQL Server for an engineering academy with 10,000+ learners: 120+ tables, ~180 endpoints and eleven background jobs (payment completion, package expiry, DRM video token renewal, reminders). Ongoing backend ownership: installment payments across two providers with the matching schema changes, DRM video, SMS OTP, S3 media, structured logging and an xUnit integration suite. Phased releases during exam seasons.

Gümüş Pestil — e-commerce backend

ASP.NET Core API for a regional food brand selling nationwide: clean architecture with CQRS (MediatR), EF Core on PostgreSQL, 3-D Secure card payments with server-side callback validation, order lifecycle with a full status history, stock reservation at checkout and monthly sales reports. Next.js admin panel, React storefront, Docker Compose deployment.

AppyGuard — 24/7 monitoring and backup service

Our own subscription service, rebuilt from a Kubernetes stack with five engines and fourteen cron jobs into one Go service plus a Go agent on PostgreSQL. Backups the customer’s server can write but never delete, no silent failures, signed agent updates with automatic smoke tests, and 14 incident runbooks. Behaviour carried over from 895 tests before any new feature.

Frequently asked

How big is Appykod?

One senior engineer, Ömer, who does the work himself. For larger projects he partners with trusted freelancers and tells you before anyone else touches your code.

Do you need access to our server?

For a health check: read-only access, or a script you run and send back. Nothing is changed on your server unless you ask.

Which versions do you support?

SQL Server 2012 and later, on-premises or Azure SQL; .NET Framework 4.x and .NET 6+.

Can you work under our agency’s name?

Yes. Many engagements are white-label: your client, your repository, our engineering.

What about time zones?

We are in UTC+3 (Türkiye). Written replies within one business day; overlapping hours with Europe every day, and with the US East Coast in the afternoon.

How do we start?

Email info@appykod.com with what feels slow or what needs building. You will get a written reply, and if it fits, a short plan and a fixed price.

Tell us about your backend.

A few sentences are enough. We reply in writing within one business day.
